Every person diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes is told the 3 cornerstones of 'good' management are insulin therapy, food and exercise. There is no shortage of information on diabetes drugs, medical gadgets, food and food products. The likely reason for this is large profits can be made. Exercise however, is definitely the poor cousin!

People with type 1 diabetes are given very general guldelines on the health benefits of regular exercise and that it's a good idea to exercise. After that you are mostly left to your own to learn by rolling the dice using the the ol' 'trial and error' method.
